Melanie joined Pakuranga Howick Realty (PHR) in 2010 following her return to New Zealand after 8 years of commercial real estate banking in the United States. Within the first three months of joining PHR, Melanie had already sold over $5 million worth of real estate in the Dannemora, Mission Heights and Flat Bush area. Combined with the experience of Helen Lim, PHR's top agent for 2009/2010 (also ranked consistently in the top 3 since 2003), Melanie and Helen offer a comprehensive service based on ongoing success and "young-blood" motivation and drive.


Melanie's family immigrated from the Philippines in the 1990s and settled in the Pakuranga/Howick/Botany area. Melanie attended the local schools in Pakuranga and Howick prior to completing a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting with the University of Auckland straight after her sixth form year. Shortly after graduating, Melanie moved to the United States to pursue a banking career, specializing in commercial real estate loans. Melanie began her professional career in the United States with an internship with JP Morgan and eventually became an Asset Manager Vice President with a Minneapolis-based company managing a commercial real estate loan portfolio of over $1 Billion (USD), of which Melanie directly managed over $200 million (USD).

Melanie's professional background and local knowledge of the area has helped her make a smooth transition into the real estate industry where service is a fundamental element.
